Job Purpose

Perform tasks involving physical labor. May operate hand power tools.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Actively promote and willingly support a safety conscious culture. Follow all safety regulations and company policies. Take a proactive approach to avoiding potential hazards such as hitting utility lines, other equipment, coworkers and falling objects. Active participation in proactive safety programs to assist with reducing the experience modification factor. Take the initiative to mentor all new hires on your crew. Willing participant in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.
• Perform a variety of tasks involving plant operations and maintenance.
• Shovel asphalt and aggregate as necessary for plant operations.
• Support Plant Operations crew as necessary.
• Willing to learn Skid Loader operation.
• Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris, and remove asbestos, lead, and other hazardous waste materials.
• Material handling and storage.
• Willingly attend and support Plant Manager during morning huddles and toolbox talks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

High School graduate which may be substituted with specific work-related experience.
