QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting
- Working toward CPA
- Previous public accounting experience preferred
- Team player and ability to work well in a group
- Detail and task oriented
- Solid research and writing skills
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff and clients.
- A competent working knowledge of accounting and audit software required.
- Proficient in QuickBooks.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues
- Developing an understanding of the audit approach and tools
- Assessing risks and evaluating the client's internal control structure
- Performing analytics, substantive tests, and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues
- Drafting financial statements
