About the Role The Business Development Representative (BDR) role at SmartSuite is your chance to take the first step in shaping how businesses around the world collaborate, manage projects, and achieve their goals. We're seeking ambitious, energetic professionals who are eager to introduce SmartSuite to potential customers and play a critical role in driving our growth. As a SmartSuite BDR, you'll be the front line of our sales team, responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads to create opportunities for our Account Executives. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy connecting with people, and are motivated by laying the groundwork for long-term partnerships, this role is for you. What You'll Do Hunt for Opportunities : Research, identify, and connect with prospects across a variety of industries, building a robust pipeline of qualified leads. Engage with Prospects : Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels to spark interest and generate high-value conversations. Qualify Leads : Assess prospects' needs through discovery calls, ensuring they're a strong fit for SmartSuite before passing them to the sales team. Collaborate with Account Executives : Partner closely with AEs to hand off qualified leads, ensuring seamless transitions and strong alignment. Master the Product : Build a deep understanding of SmartSuite's platform and value proposition to effectively communicate our benefits to potential customers. Track and Improve : Keep meticulous records in our CRM, analyze outreach performance, and suggest ideas to optimize workflows and increase results. Keys for Success 2+ years of SaaS sales experience, particularly in B2B markets. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding new business meeting quotas. Exceptional consultative selling skills, with the ability to uncover pain points and align solutions to customer needs. Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments with evolving processes. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. What Will Set You Apart? BA/BS Degree in a related field. Experience selling and/or positioning horizontal SaaS products with complex discovery processes. Deep curiosity about technology and how it solves real-world problems. Passion for delivering customer-centric value and building relationships.
