Position Overview:

\n

The Business Solutions Sales Intern will assist the GEMS (Government, Education, Medical, and Strategic) Sales team in identifying and qualifying potential leads, analyzing competitor activity and market trends, and researching business needs. The Business Solutions Sales intern will work closely with Sales representatives and leadership to generate leads and support the sales cycle by conducting outbound prospecting to schedule qualification meetings.

• This opportunity offers the flexibility to work from your home office, but may need to commute to the Dallas, TX office as needed on an intermittent basis.
\n

\n

 

\n

A Day in the Life of the Business Solutions Sales Intern:

\n

\n
• Build and qualify prospecting lists for the sales team by segmenting businesses based on size, industry, and proximity to the network.
\n
• Analyze competitor activity and market trends to identify potential opportunities.
\n
• Conduct research to uncover potential leads within specific industries, such as logistics, technology, legal services, and businesses with multiple locations. 
\n
• Utilize resources like Zoom Info, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, mapping software, and various company databases to gather relevant information.
\n
• Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone calls and face-to-face outreach to schedule qualification meetings.
\n
• Join qualification/discovery calls with sales representatives to observe and participate in sales conversations.
\n
• Gather valuable information from all available sources, customer feedback, and industry data/news to narrow in on areas for improvement and potential opportunities.
\n
• Other duties as assigned.
\n

What You Bring to the Table:

\n

\n
• Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Comfortable with cold outreach (calls, emails, face-to-face) to engage prospects.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Sheets for data analysis.
\n
• Motivated, eager to learn, and excited about sales.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Understanding of CRM systems (Sugar, Salesforce, or similar) is a plus.
\n

Education:

\n

\n
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
\n

\n

 

\n

Compensation:

\n

The base compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. The base pay represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.
