About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development and Sustainability Officer to join their passionate community dedicated to the conservation, restoration, and management of wetlands and associated habitats. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in business development, fundraising, and sustainability services. This executive role involves overseeing all aspects of donor management, fostering philanthropic relations, and leading national sustainability programs. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 10 years' experience in a leadership role within a large not-for-profit organization, and a strong background in sustainability or corporate social responsibility. Key responsibilities for the Chief Development and Sustainability Officer include providing oversight for all development and fundraising initiatives, leading the national development team, and guiding domestic and international relationships with major donors. The role also requires the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, from the Board of Directors to government bodies, and to make strategic decisions that impact the advancement of the organization's mission. The candidate should be a strategic thinker, an inspirational leader, and possess excellent communication and advocacy skills. Experience in nature conservation, knowledge of corporate governance, and a proven track record in resourceful and results-oriented leadership are essential.
