SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for processing various file requests, assisting with reconsideration of value requests, and supporting other compliance-related tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Process various file disposition requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with reconsideration of value requests, ensuring that all necessary documentation is reviewed and decisions are made according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
• Review and analyze compliance issues, recommending solutions or escalations as necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of all requests and communications for compliance tracking purposes.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and internal reviews to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
• Provide support for the preparation and submission of compliance reports.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance-related matters.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support compliance initiatives and operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage compliance or a related field.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in compliance software and tools.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Preferred certifications include CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or similar.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision.
