Job Title: Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research

 

Job Description:

Sun Pharmaceuticals, one renowned global specialty generic pharmaceutical manufacturer, is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and motivated professional to support the planning, design, and execution of HEOR and RWE generation programs. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the continued growth of our HEOR team and assume responsibility for spearheading the value generation initiatives for assigned molecules in dermatology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the head of NA HEOR and cross-functional teams, including members of medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory, market access, and commercial.
  • Develop HEOR strategies for assigned molecules, identify and prioritize research opportunities, identify appropriate data sources, secure internal alignment including funding and access to data.
  • Draft comprehensive study protocols with detailed analysis plans including power calculations when relevant, obtain endorsement internally and collaborate with KOLs, oversee implementation of studies using an analytical platform or with vendors, provide status updates, deliver high quality timely results, present finding internally and externally and contribute to generation of scientific presentations and publications.
  • Possess hands-on proficiency in analyzing real-world data through analytical platforms such as "Aetion" or "Panalgo"
  • Maintain RWE generation plans aligned with Medical, Market Access, and Brand Marketing strategies for demonstrating unmet patient need and the value of Sun products to decision makers
  • Support RWE studies by reviewing, protocols and SAPs; and reporting at scientific congresses, in peer reviewed publications, and proactive/reactive communication tools.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of RWE projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure the scientific integrity of all HEOR projects, and lead publications of HEOR data in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Monitor and interpret healthcare policy and payer environment, and guide the company on its potential impacts.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Health Outcomes Research or epidemiology related field. Ph.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of recent 5 years’ experience working in a consulting organization or the pharmaceutical industry in the US, with responsibilities for RWD research, demonstrating growing responsibilities for both programing and drafting study protocols and analysis plans, overseeing execution of RWD studies, drafting study reports, and communicating results. No prior pharma experience is required.
  • Minimum 3 years RWD programing experience with 2 additional years of oversight of programmers who use an analytical platform.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience drafting study plans, results, and reports; as specified in the description above.
  • Proven expertise evolving RWD to RWE; meeting needs of payers and regulators
  • Authoring of more than 15 scientific presentations of RWE data at conferences
  • Contribution to more than 5 manuscripts, published in prominent journals where candidate was responsible for analytics or analysis.
  • Experience in pharmacovigilance is a plus.
  • Experience with FDA and/or CDC RWD related filings is a plus.
  • Understanding of the US payers’ environments and their evidentiary needs is a must.
  • Exceptional scientific communication skills are required.

 

Base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in
