You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Some of your responsibilities may include but are not limited to.. + Designing process/facility systems including waste streams, chemical distribution, bulk and specialty gases, ultra-pure water, pollution control, mechanical/process wet and dry piping systems (all systems). + Assisting in the engineering producing engineering drawings for installation of process equipment and systems according to client standards and consulting associated with the construction of industrial production facilities, semiconductor tool installations, and Process and Mechanical Piping system design related to facility engineering + Performing field inspections of existing systems, on-site field walks and design verification + Technical writing, including memos to adequately update team members on new designs, and technologies that embrace safety and process improvement At Jacobs, we're partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. Here's What You'll Need: + Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related major + Understanding of Chemistry as it relates to safety hazards, environmental impacts, and mitigation strategies within the semiconductor industry. + Local to or willing to relocate to Boise, Idaho as this position is considered project site/hybrid and may require you to work in the local office, at a project site, or from your home (within approximately 50 miles of site) + Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office with fluency in design drawings, word processing, excel spreadsheets, etc. Ideally, you will also have: + Experience in semiconductor manufacturing facility design, supporting tool installation projects preferred + EIT or ability to obtain + 1-2 years of facilities-related engineering experience preferred (some experience in semiconductor fab facilities is highly preferred), #afelectronics At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
