Job Description

Highland Roofing is looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in either Charlotte, Raleigh or Wilmington, NC. This position will create estimates and proposal letters for commercial new construction, replacement roofing and coating/restoration projects. What will you do?

• Create estimates and proposal letters for commercial new construction, replacement roofing and coating/restoration projects.
• Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures to determine the best way for installation of the roofing systems.
• Create and maintain accurate estimating templates using The Edge estimating software.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and thorough.
• Thoroughly document all quoted and sold results on company software.
• Maintain an awareness of the department's productivity & profitability goals and work with dept. manager to meet and exceed those goals.
• Proactively work with executive team on improving/streamlining processes and workflows.

What experience should you have?

• Prefer 5+ years' experience in estimating (will consider strong roofing superintendent or project management experience)
• Knowledgeable of a variety of roofing systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and with minimal management
• Strong time management and organization skills
• Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent presentation, communication, writing, and listening skills
