BEST Crowd Management is Hiring an Event Manager! If you have a sports management or venue operations background and are eager to advance your career in the industry, this role is perfect for you. As an exempt-level professional, you’ll take charge of event operations, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. You'll handle recruitment, training, and scheduling by reporting to the Account Manager. Strong emphasis on Guest Service.
Pay: $45,000 - $50,000 / year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Support operational responsibilities as assigned, including recruiting, hiring, security licensing, training, scheduling, event day operations, and administrative responsibilities.
- Serve as the direct supervisory contact for Event Supervisors regarding performance, operations, and department needs. Responsible for supervising, motivating, coaching, and training. Additionally, responsible for evaluating the work performance of direct reports and making recommendations regarding assignments as required
- Responsible for maintaining positive client/security relationships through frequent team and client contact and support
- Identify issues occurring at events and forward them to the Account Manager and/or Client (pending on the incident location) as appropriate. May be responsible for writing a report of the situation or assisting with an investigation as directed
- Respond to client or site emergencies as they arise, including ensuring appropriate communication with the account manager and/or client (pending on location) and area manager.
- Coordinating all aspects (technical and managerial) of executing the event operations at the assigned location, including responding to client requests.
- Assign work tasks to Event Supervisors, including Event Staff and Event Security, to direct work throughout the event.
- Coordinate and conduct on-the-job training through the development and improvement of standard operating procedures, which may include orientation to the post, review of orders, routine responsibilities, and how to respond to emergency situations or specific client needs
- Responsible for ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures and training information are being properly maintained and updated and all positions are properly maintained, cleaned, and organized
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Minimum Qualifications: - Experience: We’re looking for 1-3 years of professional-level experience. If you’ve worked in security, event staffing, law enforcement, or the military, that’s a plus!
- Customer Service: At least one year of previous experience in customer service or security is essential.
- Flexibility: Our team thrives on flexibility! You’ll handle weekends, nights (including event evenings and overnight shifts), and holidays.
- Communication Ninja: You’ll monitor company communications and respond promptly to clients, staff, and senior executives.
- Articulate Decision-Maker: Use good judgment and discretion, knowing when to notify superiors and colleagues.
- Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication in English is a must.
- Adaptability: Respond effectively to changes – you’re our adaptable superstar!

Physical and Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this job, it is required to frequently sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear. They must stand or walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours). Occasionally, they may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The position may also require work in confined spaces and exposure to different outdoor weather conditions. Must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
