Kyverna is seeking a highly motivated Executive Director, Finance to join our team and help advance its mission to free patients from the siege of autoimmune disease. Responsibilities: - Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a fast-growing biotech company.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the company, inclusive of the latest estimate (LE) planning to refine expectations for the year.
- Provide strategic analysis and deliver business insights that drive optimized financial decision-making for the organization.
- Contribute to the development and reporting of KPIs and other financial metrics.
- Lead FP&A month-end close activity, including variance analysis, trial balance review, identification of potential adjustments, and variance commentary for management.
- Improve and optimize the company's reporting, analytics, and financial planning capabilities.
- Build models to forecast cash and financing scenarios.
- Ability to translate data into concrete recommendations and actions.
- Support analysis and content preparation for investor and BOD presentations.
- Work closely with the Kyverna Leadership Team & Program Management.
- This is a highly visible role that will interact with the full range of functions within our rapidly growing company, requiring a combination of analytical, financial, and interpersonal skills.
- Manage a growing team of FP&A professionals.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in finance, strategic consulting, or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of financial planning experience with exposure to R&D.
- Experience working in small to medium sized biotech strongly preferred, with proven ability to impact company culture and demonstrated flexibility in fast paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, experience with cloud-based financial planning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
