Senior Designer – Women’s Lifestyle Categories

**Portfolio Required**

Onsite in Manhattan, NY

The Senior Designer will lead the design and development of commercially viable, brand-right collections across all women’s lifestyle categories, including fashion tops and dresses, sweaters, outerwear, denim, and bottoms. This role requires a strong understanding of trend analysis, consumer insights, and business strategy to deliver innovative designs that resonate with the customer and align with seasonal and brand goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver brand-right collections for women’s lifestyle categories, focusing on style, fit, and fabric innovation.
• Develop seasonal products aligned with conceptual direction and business strategies.
• Incorporate feedback to finalize designs, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
• Conduct trend analysis and competitor research to inform and inspire designs.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development throughout the design process.
• Present designs to internal teams and cross-functional partners, showcasing concepts and execution.
• Oversee design sketches, prototypes, and specifications, ensuring high-quality results.
• Proactively address challenges and implement solutions to meet goals.
• Lead, inspire, and mentor junior designers to cultivate a high-performing team.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes for faster delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of design experience in women’s lifestyle categories within a comparable retail environment.
• Strong commercial fashion sense with a keen eye for detail in styling and performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite; Centric experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop talent.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage multiple levels of leadership.
• Results-oriented with a strong customer-first approach.
• Adaptable and agile in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Hybrid work schedule required in our NYC office.
