Talascend is currently seeking a Fuel Economy Engineer - Vehicle Homologation & Compliance for a contract opportunity located in Dearborn, MI.


OVERVIEW:


Engineering positions with lead responsibility for coordinating fuel economy certification activities.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain project work plans including status updates.
• Coordinate with activities regarding prototype vehicle and part requirements and availability.
• Support communication and confirmation of vehicle instrumentation requirements.
• Coordinate with proving ground to execute vehicle mileage break-in.
• Perform fuel economy testing:
  • Test request generation.
  • Data analysis.
  • Coordinating vehicle updates, reflashes and/or troubleshooting as required.
  • Cross-functional meeting support as required.
  • Coordinate catalyst bench aging.
• Compile and submit test and supporting documentation to EPA as needed or required.
• Support any EPA confirmatory testing.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in Engineering or related field Fuel Economy homologation and compliance experience.
• Skills: Automotive Fuel.
