Job Description

Who We Are!

At nuEra, we’re not just building a business; we’re shaping an industry. Our mission is to redefine excellence through quality, innovation, and a commitment to our communities.

We’re looking for bold thinkers, boundary-pushers, and team players ready to be part of something extraordinary. Whether you’re passionate about operations, creativity, or leading teams, there’s a place for you here to thrive, learn, and make an impact.

Ready to grow with us? Let’s create a future we can all be proud of—together.

Role Summary:

Are you a visionary leader ready to shape the future of cannabis retail? We’re seeking a bold results-driven General Manager to lead our dispensary with excellence. This role goes beyond management — it’s a chance to shape culture, drive growth, and deliver standout customer experiences in a fast-paced, evolving industry.

The ideal candidate is 21 or older, thrives in high-growth environments, and brings motivation, integrity, and adaptability. You’re someone who leads with confidence, works well both independently and with a team, and can navigate change with ease.

As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of dispensary operations — from sales and marketing to team leadership and compliance — ensuring the business runs smoothly and the team stays inspired.

Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

  • Lead and oversee all day-to-day dispensary operations, including inventory, staffing, cash handling, and security.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, drive strategic decisions, and improve sales, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels and reduce shrink.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily transactions, operational procedures, and financial reporting.
  • Manage dispensary budget with a focus on resource optimization and profitability.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full and ongoing compliance with all local and state cannabis regulations, including METRC, security, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing regulations and proactively adjust operations to remain compliant.
  • Champion a culture of compliance by training staff and enforcing policies that reduce risk and uphold licensing standards.
  • Oversee audits, inspections, and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, preparedness, and transparency.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard high-performing team members who align with company culture and values.
  • Provide clear expectations, regular coaching, and structured performance evaluations to support individual and team growth.
  • Build an inclusive, collaborative environment that motivates employees and fosters accountability.
  • Lead by example in service, professionalism, and integrity—creating a culture of ownership and pride.
  • Plan and lead team meetings, training, and development initiatives to elevate knowledge and performance.

Customer Experience & Community

  • Create a welcoming, informative, and engaging retail environment that connects with a diverse customer base.
  • Leverage customer feedback and frontline insights to enhance service quality and in-store experience.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of in-store products and industry trends to support consumer education.
  • Other duties as assigned by company leadership.

Attributes We Seek:

  • Must be 21+ years of age with the ability to pass all state-mandated background checks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of leadership experience in high-volume retail or a similar fast-paced environment; cannabis experience a plus.
  • Strong grasp of retail operations, sales performance, and customer experience best practices.
  • Must remain fully compliant with all company policies and local/state cannabis regulations.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating independently with a high level of accountability.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and attend off-site events as needed.
