Job Title: Genetic Counselor II (240002PX)
Description:
The Genetic Counselor II will be responsible for providing genetic counseling services to patients through CNMC on site or at designated outreach centers. Responsibilities include obtaining medical and family histories, reviewing pertinent medical records, counseling families regarding underlying diagnosis/medical findings, and writing counseling letters when indicated. Involvement in student supervision and promotion of genetic disease awareness is also expected. Responsibilities include triaging questions from administrative staff, outside hospitals, and other physicians.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Master's Degree from an ABGC/ACGC accredited genetic counseling training program (Required)
Minimum Work Experience:
4 years as a practicing genetic counselor (Required)
2 years experience in student supervision (Preferred)
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Foster student trainee growth.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
Board certified (Required)
