On Site Graphic Design/Prepress Specialist

Are you an expert in nDesign and Illustrator? Are you interested in becoming an experienced, well-rounded graphic designer with Prepress Experience with skills that will make you a valuable professional who can work in any print/design-related environment? Are you willing to do multiple tasks to produce print products? If so, this might be the position for you. The person in this position will work on a variety of types of projects, and will be responsible for helping to produce direct mail campaigns. Pre-press experience a plus.

This position also includes a customer service component. We are looking for someone who will interact with customers, process print and direct mail orders. This person must have a "can do" attitude and be driven to contribute to the team environment. A strong work ethic is a must for this position.

The ideal candidate has a experience in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field and at least one year of professional experience. He or she must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience with graphic design software for Adobe Creative Suite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Helps gather requirements and project specifications, brainstorms and mocks up design ideas, presents ideas to management and/or clients, and adjusts designs based on feedback
• Uses computer software and/or hand rendering to execute designs, selecting colors, images, textures, and shapes to create a layout
• Develops materials for print marketing, promotional displays, newsletters, etc.
• Able to adjust other's files in various formats.
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the print industry / pre-press is a plus
• College degree or experience in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field
• One year of relevant experience required, provide portfolio (freelance accepted)
• Thorough knowledge of inDesign and Illustrator.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, staff, vendors, and others
• Self-reliant; able to work independently and accept responsibility for projects
• Strong organization skills, able to switch tasks easily, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy
• Highly professional and dependable
