HR ASSISTANT

Temp-to-Hire Full Time/Hybrid WFH 2-3 days per week
Location: Oakbrook Terrace
Schedule: 8:00am to 5:00PM Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $24 to $26/Hour

Our client needs a qualified HR Assistant to provide administrative support to their Human Resources department. The HR Assistant will report to the Director of Human Resources and will help with payroll, recruiting, scheduling, and training tasks.

Responsibilities

• Employee records: Maintaining employee records, including organizing data and entering information into a computer system
• Recruitment: Assisting with recruitment and selection, such as maintaining applications, résumés, and applicant logs
• Payroll: Processing payroll and benefits administration
• Clerical support: Answering phones and emails, setting up meetings and interviews, and answering employee questions
• Compliance: Ensuring legal compliance and securing confidential documents
• Employee development: Supporting employee development and explaining benefit programs

Skills and qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, data entry, and record keeping
• Enthusiasm for working within a team environment
• Professionalism when it comes to handling confidential information and addressing employee concerns
• Proficiency with technology, and the ability to pick up new software easily

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with company’s preferred HR software
• Experience in an administrative role
• Understanding of labor laws
• Desire to grow within the company
