Java Sr. Developer Contract to Hire Atlanta, GA Delta Airlines Onsite Hybrid

This person should be lead material with strong analytical skills and has led/mentored before or has great potential to become a lead. Having C++ experience is a huge plus and is a fast learner. Design and documentation

• Clear understanding and experience drafting design documentation at various levels of detail (Conceptual, Logical, Interface and Physical Architecture documents)
• Clear understanding and experience capturing business requirements in the format of sequence diagrams, flow charts, ER models

Development

• CORE Java with experience working on Spring and Quarkus
• Clear understanding and experience working with AuthN/AuthZ on REST APIs, OIDC
• Able to draft OpenAPI specs (Swagger) from requirements
• Able to model RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Clear understanding and experience working with messaging systems (Queues and Topics - TibcoEMS, IBM MQ, AWS SQS, AWS SNS, AWS Managed Streaming for Kafka)
• Clear understanding and experience working on Angular SPAs and NodeJS

DevSecOps

• AWS Code Pipeline
• Tekton
• Clear understanding and experience working with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, Redhat Openshift)
• Build automation tools (Maven, Gradle)
• Dependency Management tools (Nexus)
• Quality Control tools (Veracode, SonarQube, Prisma)
• Log Management tools (AWS CloudWatch, SumoLogic)

Testing and Monitoring

• Experience working with Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AWS Cloudwatch, Prometheus)
• Experience working with unit testing and performance testing frameworks (jUnit, jMeter)
• Experience working on testing automation (rest assured, cucumber, selenium)

Responsibilities:

• Capture and translate business requirements to technical low-level designs

• Code for applications from requirements
• Test, monitor and develop automation to contribute to Site Reliability
