Job Details
We are seeking an experience Legal Assistant to support our litigation practice group.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience as a legal assistant.
Responsibilities:
Assisting attorneys on administrative items.
Draft discovery and pleadings and other legal correspondence and reports.
Managing the day-to-day case management, including maintaining client files, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
Providing high-quality transcription services, converting verbal statements into written form for case documentation.
Conducting legal research, including statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
Preparing and formatting legal and management reports.
Liaising with clients to schedule meetings, gather information, and maintain strong relationships.
Ensuring all legal documents are correctly filed with the courts in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant.
Proficiency in transcription with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with state filings and familiar with county and prothonotary websites.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to interact with clients in a professional and respectful manner.
Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
