The Department of State Hospitals-Napa has a vacancy for a Locksmith I. The Locksmith I installs, maintains and repairs cylinder and bit key locks that are jammed or sticking. They replace tumblers, springs and rebuild locks. They also make or cut various types of keys for cylinder and bit locks, medicine cabinet locks, door locks, automatic locks and padlocks. The Locksmith I requisitions parts, supplies, and equipment; writes reports and orders materials; and keeps records of keys issued by Key Control Centers. They will pick locks when keys are lost; change lock combinations, install and repair door closers, door checks, doorknobs, casement operators, door strikes, and other related hardware, read shop drawings and works from plans and specifications.
