GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Production Assistant reports directly to the Production Manager, and they will assist with any administrative activities that need attention.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage the daily charge out of materials used in production of concrete panels. Includes mesh, insulation, lifting embeds, strand, concrete, and rebar.
- Enter PO's into Navision and research as to where and what type of products or parts we need to order.
- Work with Corporate Purchasing Director for comparable pricing or other options available.
- Assist with monthly on-site inventory counts.
- Assist with sorting the UPS deliveries and deliver to proper area.
- Enter all received items into Navision. May include sand, rock, cement, mesh, insulation, steel embeds, and rebar.
- Help with phone orders of materials needed for production.
- Entering of the misc. invoices of parts and everyday items.
- Assist the Production Manager in adjusting Kronos weekly. This includes daily correction of missed or incorrect punches, daily time charge out per bed and job, entering crew posting into Kronos weekly, help with any correction to start times in Kronos program and entering of vacation time in Kronos program.
- Help to maintain accurate spreadsheets of vacation days used and requested by laborers.
- Filing of pour tickets and batch records daily.
- Assist with printing out of pour tickets when received from drafting department daily.
- Acts in professional manner that demonstrates the individual has good character and can be trusted by all employees.
- Complete special projects as requested and performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED - Associate's degree in business or general studies preferred.
- 3 years of general work experience in Administrative Assistant preferred.
- Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
- Must be motivated and self-driven to complete a task.
- Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently.
- Knowledge of products the company uses, and which products would work best.
- Understand and accepts changes that are implemented to become best in Class.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
- Visual acuity and ability to read small print.
- Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
- Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Minimal risk of exposure to unusual elements.
- Minimal risk of safety precautions.
- General office environment.
