Job Title: Project Manager I-II (Public Works & Infrastructure)
Location: Los Angeles County, CA

Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced and dynamic Project Managers to lead and oversee county stormwater, road, and transportation infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team committed to delivering impactful public works projects across Los Angeles County.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of projects, from planning to closeout.
  • Develop, maintain, and control project scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Review and coordinate construction documents and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Facilitate project team and client meetings effectively.
  • Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with design, budget, and timelines.
  • Negotiate and prepare change orders.
  • Respond promptly to project challenges and set clear expectations with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Project Manager I: Minimum 5 years of project management and field construction experience.
  • Project Manager II: Minimum 10 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Licensed professional or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
  • Demonstrated experience in stormwater, drainage, or transportation infrastructure projects (e.g., roadways, bikeways, walkways, airports, bridges).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Progressive Design-Build (PDB), or Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR).
  • Knowledge of Public Contracting Code , CEQA/NEPA , and Greenbook/CSI standards.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project Online).
  • Familiarity with Envision certification and County practices.
