American Medical Staffing is currently seeking full-time and part-time Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist for school-based contract positions throughout the Philadelphia area for the 24/25 school year.
\n\n Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist Job Details: \n\nWe are seeking a certified Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist to support students with visual impairments in developing safe navigation and independence skills. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating and implementing individualized O&M plans, teaching travel techniques (e.g., cane usage, environmental awareness), and collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to promote accessibility and inclusion. The ideal candidate has experience working with visually impaired students, knowledge of assistive technology, and a commitment to fostering independence in educational and community settings.
