Compensation: $28 / hour

Shift : Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (40 hours full time)

About the job:

● Provide excellent customer service to the client, including greeting customers, answering questions, and directing employees to their destination.
● Technology proficiency: need to be comfortable using technology such as computers, smartphones, and security systems to perform your job effectively.
● Communicate effectively with the client and other security personnel, including providing
clear and concise instructions and directions.
● Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, including responding to emergency situations such as medical emergencies, accidents, and fires.
● Operate access control systems such as turnstiles, Envoy, and TrackTik
● Patrol the premises, including conducting routine checks of buildings, parking lots, and other areas as assigned.
● Use security equipment, access control systems, and emergency response procedures to ensure that the facility is secure and that employees and assets are safe.
● Think critically and make quick decisions in emergency situations, including responding to alarms, detecting suspicious activities, and contacting law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
● Remain alert and observant, paying close attention to detail and reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches to management.
● Identify potential security threats and take appropriate action to prevent security incidents from occurring.
● Defuse tense situations and resolve conflicts between customers or employees in a calm and professional manner.
● Work while also contributing to a team-oriented environment by supporting other security personnel as needed.
● Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain a secure premise.
● Provide security escorts to employees and visitors as needed.
● Participate in training programs to stay up-to-date on security procedures.
● Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
● Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing the company in a positive manner.

Requirements:

● High School Diploma or GED equivalent
● At least 2 years of experience in security, customer service, or a related field
● Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate and meet client needs
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
● Attention to detail, with the ability to identify potential threats and respond appropriately
● Physical fitness, with the ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
● Flexibility, with the ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
● Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and defuse tense situations
● Proficient with technology, including computers and security systems
● Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to security and customer service
● CPR/AED required
