We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a focus on Concrete in the Commercial Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about the construction industry, particularly in the concrete specialty. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex concrete projects, from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of concrete construction project management including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Review contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
  • Manage the process of submitting plans, receiving approvals, and ensuring that all projects meet building and safety codes.
  • Handle RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, submittals, and purchase orders, ensuring all changes are properly documented and approved.
  • Monitor job costs regularly, ensuring projects stay within budget and identifying potential cost overruns early.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining open communication and managing expectations.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Conduct risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on the progress and status of each project.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role within the construction industry, with a focus on concrete.
  • Proficiency in managing the technical aspects of RFIs, change orders, submittals, and purchase orders.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • Certification in project management (PMP) is a plus.
