Job Description
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Modelling and reporting on the performance and application of inflow control and intelligent completion technology, including the use of in-house techniques, nodal analysis and reservoir modelling.
- Engagement with reservoir engineering functions within the client organization to gather technical data, present results of technical studies, and provide guidance in the effective modelling to inflow and intelligent completion technologies.
- Act as trusted advisor to customers and management regarding flow control technology, well modelling and reservoir simulation
- Produce (revenue generating) reservoir simulation studies and associated reports for customers.
- Providing post-installation performance analysis and interpretation, including history matching, reservoir management, and production optimization support.
- Development of evaluation techniques and workflow for implementation of technology portfolio in multiple reservoir applications.
- Enhance team capability in dynamic reservoir simulation through training and guidance.
- Technical paper authorship on TAQA technology and case histories and promotion at industry events; participation and presentation at industry/customer workshops and forums.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering
Preferred: Master's Degree or higher in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
- Experience in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering functions
- Mastery of dynamic reservoir simulation and nodal analysis using commercial software.
- Experience in reservoir completion technology: functionality and application
- Experience across multi-discipline petroleum engineering skills: e.g. geology, petrophysics, reservoir engineering and production technology
- Advanced communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal personnel, and to represent TAQA at industry events.
Preferred:
- Extensive experience using Petrel Reservoir Engineering and Eclipse Reservoir Simulator software, including the use of Advanced Multi-segment Well Model for the design and evaluation of flow control and advanced completions.
- Experience with NETool well performance modelling software.
- Demonstrate an ability to effectively utilise dedicated resources and the ability to plan, control, and take responsibility the work
- First line supervisor training to develop and motivate staff, and effectively engage with other business functions
