Are you a skilled craftsman with a passion for bringing light to life? Entech Staffing is seeking a talented Signage Lighting & Technology Specialist with proven CAN channel lighting experience to join our client's dynamic team in Madison Heights, MI.
What You'll Do:
Bring Light to Life: Wire and assemble all types of lighting, including advanced LED systems, into custom signage and décor.
Craft with Precision: Bend and shape sign parts, CAN lettering, and channel lettersets using hand tools and machinery (AccuBend and Accu Clinch).
Connect and Power: Safely make electrical connections and rewire signage and lighting as needed.
Innovate and Create: Work with various materials (LEDs, aluminum, acrylic, plastics, power supplies, and electrical components) to create custom lettersets and signage, from simple to complex.
Build and Assemble: Assemble non-lit décor and signage from various substrates (wood, aluminum, acrylic, gator foam) from start to finish.
Collaborate and Problem-Solve: Work closely with engineering and design staff to clarify information and achieve successful prototype builds for experiential, illuminated, and technology-integrated décor.
Maintain Quality and Safety: Apply the highest level of workmanship, pay attention to detail, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
What You'll Bring:
CAN Channel Expertise: Proven experience in creating CAN/Channel Letters for signage, with a strong understanding of backlit LED lighting.
Electrical Signage & LED Proficiency: 2+ years of demonstrated experience in electrical signage, LED lighting, and customized CAN lettering.
Technical Skills: 2-4 years of work experience in a skilled trade or shop production environment.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read, understand, and follow written directions and basic shop drawings/blueprints.
Electrical Understanding: Ability to comprehend basic electrical concepts.
Material Knowledge: General understanding of signage and graphics materials, substrates, and manufacturing processes.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
Prototype Experience: Experience with prototype builds for experiential, illuminated, and technology-integrated décor (motion, sound, visual LED1 effects) preferred.
Technical Creativity: Experience integrating flat screens, and mechanical motion into displays, is highly desired.
Team Spirit: Must be a team player and work well with other departments.
Schedule & Compensation:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with overtime as required.
Competitive pay: $18 - $20+/hour, depending on experience.
