Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis. This position will train on day shift but be required to move to swing shifts that could include overnights and weekends.
The Role
We are seeking Simulator Operators to join our growing Motorsports program. You will be responsible for operating simulator equipment and working closely with race teams to effectively use the simulator tools. Effective communication skills and attention to safety will be key as you will work with a variety of customers and partners both internal and external to GM. What You’ll Do
Facilitate operation of simulator for race teams
Rapid troubleshooting and issue resolution to keep sessions running efficiently
Work with different teams to help them effectively use simulator time in preparation for upcoming competition events
Maintain area workplace organization standards
Contribute to continuous improvement activities and participate in the problem resolution process
Participate in cross training initiatives for Tech Center Operations
Constantly improve the workspace, administration, and operations environment

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Proficiency with Windows OS
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Solid understanding of computer-controlled hardware and instrumentation
Resourceful problem solver with demonstrated experience going above and beyond in an electro-mechanical work environment
Able to multitask in a highly flexible environment and adjust quickly to constantly evolving goals
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship mentorship skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed
Must be a great teammate, be able to work a flexible schedule and have a high level of integrity
Able to work flexible shifts (including nights and weekends)

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Associates degree in an Engineering or Technology related field
2+ years of hands on, professional machining operations
Experience in Motorsports
