Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician

Salary : $25 to $30 per hour

Role Overview

Join a vital role in the healthcare team as a Sterile Processing Technician ensuring that surgical procedures run smoothly through meticulous instrument sterilization and preparation. This role is essential to maintaining high standards of infection control and supporting surgical teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an integral member of the OR team, responsible for the cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and trays are properly sterilized, functional, and ready for procedures.
• Maintain strict sterile practices to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with surgical staff, nurses, and fellow sterile processing team members to deliver exceptional support.
• Perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrument functionality and report any equipment malfunctions.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and standards related to sterile processing and infection control.

Qualifications

• CRCST certification is required at the time of application.
• Minimum of one year of experience in sterile processing, preferably in a hospital or surgical setting.
• High school diploma/GED required; further technical education or training is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile processing equipment is essential.
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
