Job Details

• Position / Specialty: Med Surg Neuro RN
• Shift: 4x12 or 3x12s Days (1800-0630)
• Avg. Daily Census: 32
• Years of experience REQ: Minimum 1 years' experience required.
• First-timers accepted: No
• Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
• Is on-call REQ? No
• Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed.
• Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
• Locals accepted: Yes- no radius.
• Must have active IL license in hand to apply.
• RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
• Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 years' experience required.
• Must have active IL license in hand to apply.
• Required Work Setting Experience: Med/Surg.
• Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams.
• Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management.
• Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.
• Required Medication Experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA.
• Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury.
• Experience with Surgical drains required.
• Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management.
• Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.
• Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required.
• Cerner experience required.

• A legible copy of a valid/current US Driver’s license or US ID card is required.
• Candidate must review and sign within 7 days of signing contract.
• Physical within a year of start. Labs must be complete/scheduled within 7 days of signing contract.
