Job Description
Job Purpose: Our Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating learning and training for the Veritiv global organization. This role will develop learning content in partnership with various subject matter experts to provide timely and relevant training for the organization. You will develop learning materials for multiple delivery platforms including updates as needed to drive adoption and understanding. Additionally, you will partner with other members of Veritiv's talent community to improve the Employee Experience throughout a career lifecycle of onboarding to retirement.
Job Responsibilities: •Design and edit new and existing courses and curriculum for instructor-led and on-demand training, including creating eLearning modules and storyboards scripts for video and audio content.
•Develop instructor's manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
•Consult and collaborate with subject matter experts and other team members to develop course content.
•Manage online learning communities.
•Incorporate visuals, animations, videos, and interactive elements into training materials.
•Create quizzes, assignments, and assessments to measure learning outcomes and adjust content accordingly.
•Train instructors, students, and employees in how to use learning technologies.
•Keep current on best practices and emerging technology related to instructional design.
•Work with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications: •Maintain a user-centric perspective when designing content, focusing on the needs and preferences of the target audience.
•Continuously seeks feedback and actively participates in professional development to enhance content creation skills.
•Define appropriate metrics to assess the effectiveness and ROI of training content and leverages L&D metric data to assess and improve training content.
•Highly proficient in Articulate 360, Adobe Illustrator and Camtasia Software.
•Experience with Workday Learning.
•Experience delivering high-impact in-person and virtual facilitation.
•Demonstrated ability to define, refine, and implement learning and training programs.

•Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
•Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
•Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
•Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
•Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
•Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
•Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
•Strong planning and organization skills are required.
Education: •Master's Degree Preferred
•Bachelor's Degree
