Street Level Campaigns, LLC (SLC) is a grassroots consulting firm specializing in community organizing, voter contact, and coalition building. Our clients include candidates, ballot measures, issue campaigns, non-profit organizations, and trade associations. SLC is an affiliate of our sister organization Street Level Strategy, LLC a national public affairs consulting firm.

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated canvassers to work part-time on an Assembly District race in the Coachella Valley and Indio area. Canvassers are primarily responsible for conducting outreach to residents and voters via door to door canvassing and by phone. Canvassers will help explain a candidate’s policies and answer any questions voters may have. Canvassers act as representatives of the campaign and as such are expected to maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor at all times.

The schedule for this position is anticipated to be the following: Friday, 10/25 11:00a-6:30p; Saturday-Sunday, 10/26-10/27 10:00am- 7:00pm; Monday-Wednesday, 10/28-10/30 4:00pm- 8:00pm; Saturday-Tuesday, 11/2-11/5 10:00a-7:00p This is a seasonal, temporary position that will run until the election on November 5, 2024.

• Strong verbal communication skills
• Previous community organizing, political canvassing, or civic engagement experience preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Interest in social and political issues
• Self-motivated and able to set and reach personal goals
• Good time-management skills
• Good judgment
• Ability to learn new information and topics quickly
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and insurance
• Must possess a working computer and phone with reliable internet access
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
• Fully available for the schedule listed above.

Pay & Benefits:

Starting pay is $28.00/hour with an opportunity for upward mobility within the company.

Driving stipend provided for drivers.
