AoPS seeks an exceptional Product Manager to lead the next evolution of our online homework system. As the Learning Platform Product Manager, you will drive the development and refinement of the technology that supports homework and other asynchronous learning across our diverse educational platforms: in-person AoPS Academies, AoPS Online self-paced classes, and Virtual Campus video-based courses. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the educational journey of tens of thousands of students, working at the exciting intersection of technology, education, and innovation.

The Product Manager will:
  • Lead the full product cycle for changes and new features, including idea generation, research, design, development, and launch.
  • Collaborate closely with business, operational, and pedagogical stakeholders from product teams that use the system to set product strategy, vision, and roadmap.
  • Build in-depth knowledge of user needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform decision making.
  • Implement best practices for user-centric design and research methodologies to ensure the product meets user needs. This includes:
    • Understanding users' needs, goals, and pain points through interviews, surveys, and observations.
    • Creating prototypes of new features or lessons and conducting usability testing with real students and parents.
    • Using quantitative methods to understand how users are interacting with the platform (e.g., time spent on lessons, quiz scores) and qualitative methods to dig deeper into user satisfaction, understanding, and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a team of curriculum experts, artists, designers, and engineers to deliver product enhancements and new features.
  • Share insights and resources with product teams across the company.

The ideal candidate has:

  • 3+ years of experience in product development and management, with a focus on educational technology products preferred
  • A proven track record of delivering successful, user-friendly digital products
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, technical, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for education
